Intebloc is bringing significant new functionality to our digital inspection management software, InteCheck. Developed in response to user feedback, the latest release introduces a completely new approach to managing temporary and third-party equipment, alongside a redesigned tablet experience and improvements to inspection workflows.
Managing equipment offshore comes with enough challenges. Keeping track of what's installed, what needs inspecting and what requires attention is what InteCheck takes care of.
Here's what's new.
Bringing third-party equipment to the software
Temporary equipment is constantly moving on and off offshore assets. Whether it's third-party tools and rigging entering the derrick, hired lighting or other equipment installed for a specific job, it needs to be tracked, inspected and accounted for. These items are often managed through separate paperwork or manually created checklists.
Our new Temporary Equipment Management functionality is bringing a structured process for registering, installing, inspecting and tracking equipment throughout its time offshore.
It includes:
- Reusable templates
Users can define equipment types, components and inspection requirements within the InteCheck portal, reducing repetitive administration and standardising inspections. - Plan installations in advance
Office-based teams can register planned equipment installations, assign locations, set inspection frequencies and attach supporting documentation before equipment arrives offshore. These installations automatically appear on the relevant asset's tablets. - Manage equipment directly on the tablet:
Offshore crews can register equipment, confirm installations, record component details and capture photo evidence directly in the application. - Keep inspection records together:
Inspection results, photos, supporting certificates and equipment details are available in each installation record, providing visibility throughout the operations.
With the newest feature, InteCheck provides a consistent, traceable process for managing temporary equipment, with less paperwork and faster communication between onshore and offshore teams.
A redesigned tablet experience
Built around a new dashboard homepage, InteCheck 3.0 gives crews an immediate overview of outstanding work.
Overdue inspections, upcoming checks, work in progress and rejected inspections are clearly displayed, making it easier to identify what needs attention. New quick actions allow users to start inspections, register temporary equipment and check out tools directly from the homepage.
As part of the new system release, we have also streamlined navigation, introduced consistent layouts across inspection workflows and made the application accessible on mobile phones as well as tablets.
Upgraded corrective actions
Previously, a rejected inspection required completing the entire checklist again, even when only a handful of items required attention.
InteCheck 3.0 introduces a targeted corrective action workflow. Reviewers can now select individual failed items and provide comments. Once synchronised, the offshore team receives a shorter follow-up checklist containing only those items, complete with the original responses, comments and photo evidence.
The corrected inspection is then returned for review, with a link to the original record. This efficient process reduces duplicated work while maintaining accountability and traceability.
Boosted visibility of DROPS inspection
The latest release also introduces a new DROPSdashboard within the InteCheck portal, giving teams an overview of inspection activity across their assets.
Monthly inspection volumes and exceptions, including failed and unseen items, are presented visually, making it easier to identify trends and changes in inspection performance.
InteCheck 3.0 represents another step in our commitment to making offshore inspection management practical and accessible. By bringing temporary equipment into the digital inspection process, improving visibility and simplifying everyday workflows, we're helping offshore and onshore teams spend less time on administration and more time on safety.
